Do you want to make life-long friends, learn from other cultures and beliefs, share your own knowledge and experience what it’s like to live in beautiful Swedish nature? What are you waiting for? Come to the 22nd World Scout Jamboree: Simply Scouting!
Who can come?
Everyone participating in the World Scout Jamboree has to be a member of an organisation that is part of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). To check if your organisation or association is a member, access the list of National Scout Organisations on the WOSM website.
To be a participant at the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Sweden 2011, you need to be between 14 and 18 years old. That means you must have been born between 25 July 1993 and 27 July 1997. Each Scout has only one opportunity to be a participant at a World Jamboree, so if you are in this age group, now is your chance! If you are 18 or older, you can take part as a member of the International Service Team (IST). For more information about this, please see the headline ‘International Service Team’.
To apply to come to the World Scout Jamboree, you need to register with the group of Scouts from your country who are preparing to join the Jamboree. These groups are called National Contingents. The National Contingents will probably start their preparations early, so keep an eye out for their information in your national newsletters, scout magazines and on your national scout website.
