Builders

What?

Do you want to be part of building the foundations of the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Sweden? Do you have some time off before or after the actual jamboree?
Do you want to be part of a fun hardworking team?
Do you have specific skills for building such as plumbing and electrical appliances?
Or do you have a general experience in building things such as putting up tents?

If YES! Then you should apply to be one of the 22nd World Scout Jamboree’s builders.

Who?

You must have turned 18 and be a scout member (we will get the approval of your National Scout Organisation). We have different roles and tasks so anyone can participate. But we are specifically interested in people with formal education in building and construction (plumbers, electricians, carpenters, telecommunication – you name it).

When?

The construction and deconstruction of the jamboree takes place from the 18 June to 24 July and 9–25 of August. When registering you tell us what dates you are available.

How?

There is no fee to participate as builder. You will be well catered for but need to bring your own tent to sleep in. It is a long period of building and there will be social facilities for the build team. You pay for your own travels. The construction and deconstruction periods of the jamboree follow the Alcohol and drug policy of the 22nd World Scout Jamboree and is therefore an alcohol- and drug-free event.

You can choose to be a builder and then go on to be an IST at the actual jamboree, please note that you then need to be registered and accepted as an IST by your national contingent. If the contingent has closed its registration, you will not be able to come as IST. You can also choose to come only for the build.

Fill out your registration here!

We operate a first come first served system so you will get a response within a month if you have been accepted. The registration will close when we have recruited enough builders.
