Get Involved

Together, we will create the 22nd World Scout Jamboree! Delivering the ultimate camp experience for the participants will require a great deal of people planning ahead and even more of us contributing on the camp site during the Jamboree. There are several ways to be involved and we hope that you will find something that’s right for you!

Builders

Do you want to be part of building the foundations of the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Sweden? Do you have some time off before or after the actual jamboree? Do you want to be part of a fun hardworking team? Do you have specific skills for building such as plumbing and electrical appliances? Or do you have a general experience in building things such as putting up tents?

If YES! Then you should apply to be one of the 22nd World Scout Jamboree’s BUILDERS.

Jamboree Planning Team

The Planning Team is an international team appointed to plan and prepare the 22nd World Scout Jamboree. We are now busy recruiting members to all departments in the organisation. The tasks require commitment, leadership skills and planning experience.  We welcome all active Scouts to fill in our online application. Please note that all applicants will need the approval from their National Scout Organisation and will have to follow the procedures of their NSO.

We need people from now onwards and all the way up to 2011.

The online application can be found here.

External Partners

The World Scout Movement is an educational movement for young people. It has excellent relationships globally and locally with many Non-Governmental Organisations who are experts in areas which present challenges for the young people in the world today. The World Scout Jamboree will work closely together with these partners. Please read more about how your organisation can get involved.

Camp in Camp

The Jamboree needs Swedish and Nordic scout units that on their own, or together with more Scout units, organise a ‘Camp in Camp‘. Read more about Camp in Camp. More information for Swedish and Nordic Scout Units on how to organise a camp in camp will be available soon.

Home Hospitality

As a Swedish and Nordic Scout you can invite visiting Scouts to come and experience your country and see what it is like to live there as a young person. This is an opportunity for everyone whether you are taking part in the Jamboree, organising a Camp in Camp or staying at home. More info for Swedish and Nordic Scout Units on how to get involved in Home Hospitality can be found here.

Current Opportunities

A large number of specialist skills are required to organise the 22nd World Scout Jamboree. Currently the planning team is looking for people with expertise ranging from programming to plumbing. Please have a look here to find out what may suit you.
