The Planning Team is an international team, appointed to plan and prepare the 22nd World Scout Jamboree. We are now busy recruiting members to all departments in the organisation. To apply you have to be a member of a National Scout Organisation. We are looking for Scout leaders with committed engagement, leadership skills and experience from planning or taking part of an international jamboree.
The leadership will be guided by the 22nd World Scout Jamboree idea and leadership philosophy. You should be prepared to take part of the education Safe from Harm, to prevent all kind of abuse among children and young people. The 22nd World Scout Jamboree will also give the participants an example of an environment free from alcohol and other drugs. You shall be willing to be a good example not only by the word, but also by living according to the rules in all work related to the Jamboree.
To apply to the Planning Team you use our online application. Part of the process will be to get an approval from the International Commissioner or the Head of Contingent in your National Scout Organisation.
You will be describing your skills, experience and interests, rather than applying for a specific role in the organisation. This will help us staffing the Jamboree organisation throughout the planning period and to match candidates with requirements in different positions. We are looking for people to join in now and all the way up to 2011. This means that a role that we see matches your profile can come up directly or much later. If you have applied, we will inform you about how the recruiting is progressing. Still, we do not guarantee a position in the Planning team.
