Arrival
Day Visitors will be greeted at a Check in Centre located south-east of the camp-site where parking will be available for cars and buses. At the Arrivals Desk, visitors will check in and have the opportunity to purchase their ticket if they haven’t already bought it on-line. The centre will be open from 10am and will not admit new visitors after 4pm.
Shuttle buses will transport visitors from the welcome centre to the Jamboree entrance and back. The buses will leave regularly, with the last bus leaving the campsite at 6pm. However, be aware that there might be a queue both going towards and coming back from the campsite, so please ‘be prepared’.
For more information about transportation and check in procedure, see How to get there.
Guided tours
When you are at the camp, you must take the opportunity to join the guided tour for visitors! It takes you around the central parts of the camp and gives you an insight into what you can experience at the jamboree. As a bonus, you’ll get fun facts about the camp and the scout movement, such as how scouting differs around the world. The tour ends at the Swedish Exhibition, where the Swedish Scout Council has various scout activities that you can try out.
The guided tours take about 40 minutes and are offered every day from 10 am to 5 pm. The tour is given in English throughout the day. It will also be provided in French once in the morning and once in the afternoon. If there are inquiries, tours may be given in other languages.
Activities at the Jamboree
Day visitors are welcome to visit all common areas during the Jamboree. On the camp’s three Town Centres there will be spontaneous activities for both campers and visitors. Some of the activities are also exciting for spectators to watch! It is possible to buy light meals as well as coffee, tea and snacks at several different locations.
There will be a wide range of activities available for visitors at the Jamboree. They are based on the key concepts nature, meetings and solidarity as well as adventure. You can for example experience primitive scouting, climb, sharpen your juggling skills or visit the amusement park.
Note: No pets are allowed on the camp site, with the exception of guide dogs.
