Radio Jamboree - clouds

Jamboree Radio 94,5 MHz

In addition to all the fun activities planned for the 22nd World Scout Jamboree, the participants will be able to bring a radio and listen to live broadcasting from our own radio station, “Radio Jamboree”.

Jens Hansson together with Carolina Svensson are the leading the Radio Jamboree team.

What can we expect from the Jamboree Radio?
Jens: “We will broadcast live from the centre of the camp everyday from 7 am to 11 pm on the FM band. Among other things, we will bring you news updates, reports, interviews, guests, information – and great music to further get you that sweet jamboree feeling.”

Carolina: “Radio is a great way to supply the entire camp with information and entertainment. The broadcasts will be available on-line, so even if you’re not on the camp site you can still keep up with what’s happening.”

What are you’re previous experience with radio?
Carolina: I studied journalism in Stockholm and I previously worked as a reporter on Swedish Radio. I also worked as the head of the student radio in Växjö.

Jens: I don’t have any previous experience with radio but I hope to use my organisational abilities to put together a well-performing radio team.

Will there be any way for the listeners to request songs?
Carolina: Absolutely! The listeners can bring music themselves on a CD or as an MP3 file. There may also be a possibility to send in requests via text messages right in to us in the studio. We have quite an extensive music library.

The radio will also work as the camp’s quickest way to forward important information. In other words, you have every reason to bring a radio to the camp!

  19. Gabriel Perdigão says:

Hi, first let me introduce myself properly.
My name is Gabriel Perdigão and im a Brazilian Rover ( you might think “ok im not surprised”) but im also an amateur musician ( 2/5 of my band is going to the jamboree, me “by the way im a guitar player” and the bass player). And we were asking ourselves, how could we contribute to the jamboree radio? We are planing to take a few recorded songs and of course we are taking a few instruments with us. I also have a little experience with sound equipment (never worked in a radio, but I’ve been sound technician in a few events).
Ok now you are thinking ”just another guy trying to impress us to work in the radio”, and yeah you are kind of right, but what i really want is just to cooperate with you guys to make the jamboree radio a big success.
Thank you all, and see you in a few days.

Ps:. this is a song we recorded to the “3º Blood Donation Rover Moot” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpjsy1Ztd-Y
