If you want to be the first one to have things from the official 22nd World Scout Jamboree shop assortment, you can do a pre-order at www.worldscoutjamboree.se/shop from the 1st of June. Pre-orders can only be done in June and the order must reach a minimum of 5000 SEK. Your orders can only be picked up in the Jamboree Shop at campsite after you have arrived to the Jamboree.

Packing for an event like this is always a challenge. The Jamboree Participant’s Guide,
(http://www.scouting.org/filestore/world_jamboree/pdf/PARTICIPANT_Guide_FINAL.pdf), lists the basic items you should be
bringing but here are a number of items that should include as well.
• Personal mess kit – required
• Flash light
• Sleeping bag or blankets
Can you please find out and let me know about the mess kit.
I do not mind washing out my equipment, but you would have to wash it every time you use it and there might not be a place to wash before and after work.

Hi Peggy,
The weather varies from day to day, but it can be rather cold (around 10-15 C) at night at times so make sure you pack a sweater. Mosquitoes varies from place to place, so it’s hard to tell. The mesh kit I’m unaware of unfortunately.

Can you tell me what the weather is like over there {day time and night time} and is the mosquitoes or any other insects’ bad?
Why do lst have to bring mesh kit with them? Why isn’t the WJ provide them? The other WJ did?

are you all counting down the remaining days,I sure am! can’t wait to se you all in about 19 days. my name is Ortwin Winters and im from SURINAME thats a beautiful country in South-America right above Brazil next to Guyana And Frans-Guyana (on the world map)and we will visit the Jamboree again this year and i am so looking forward to it.How will we get there?:first by airplane from Suriname to holland then we take the bus to ZWEDEN. I really think this wil be great aspecially because i think it awesome that people can organize an event that can accommodate so many people of the whole world with different backgrounds an rases at one place at the same time and still let them live there in harmony and peace . NOW thats cool!!!!!!

Anyone who knows if IST and Planning Team will be able to purchase food (fresh vegatables and fruit for example) in the food shops, or if they are exclusivly for patrols with point-cards? I guess the Farmacy will sell schampoo, soap, deodorants etc that one may need. Anyone who knows??
