Follow the build-up live

The building on the Jamboree site has now been going on for almost three weeks and from today you can follow it live too. On the Jamboree Facebook page some asked for photos of the build-up of the Jamboree. A small team headed down to the campsite to check on the progress. The team came back with photos, but left three webcams behind.

Here are photos from the site. Some features the huge IST dining hall which is almost finished on the outside, and will be ready to serve meals on July 15. Until then, the builders are having their meals in a temporary dining hall. Other photos include the, so far, empty IST subcamp and a lot of construction machinery.

With the help of some heavy lifting from the Site services department there are now three webcams overlooking the Jamboree site. In between all construction work some members have placed three cameras around the campsite so that you can follow the progress too. One of them sits as high as 40 m above the ground in a radio mast.

The current locations are temporary and during the Jamboree these will be moved to the central tower located in the middle of the campsite. A map with their positions will be available shortly. Check back for an update on this page.

Below are the latest shots from the three cameras. If you click on an image a new window will open where the photos automatically update.
