Countless pallets in the Cargo Centre

With only four days left until the Jamboree starts, builders and planning team members are working hard to get everything done before the ISTs arrive on Monday. For the Cargo Centre, this is their busiest time. Goods arriving almost round the clock is keeping four people occupied from early morning until midnight.

The cargo centre gets around ten deliveries a day, and they’re driving out pallets to the camp site two to three times a day. One round takes about four hours, so the days are usually quite busy. Of course, they also have to make sure that everyone get what they need in time and that they actually receive everything they’ve ordered. Something that Stefan, who’s working at the centre, is very careful with.

- It doesn’t matter if someone just says they’re delivering fourteen boxes, I have to count them to be sure!

When the team first arrived, just after Swedish mid-Summer, they tried counting the number of pallets. However, they quickly lost track. During the opening ceremony the Cargo Centre have planned to take some well deserved time off. If you get a chance to meet anyone of them, don’t forget to say thanks.
