The Join In Jamboree material aims to give everyone a taste of the World Scout Jamboree and the Jamboree spirit. Three days of programme at a scout camp anywhere in the world have been put together based on Simply Scouting.
The construction of tents, portals and other facilities have been going on for a long time at Rinkaby. That, however, does not mean that the world around is standing still. The Join in Jamboree material gives you a taste of the Swedish Scout programme. It has influenced the activities that will run at the Jamboree which in short is captured by its theme Simply Scouting.
In the examples from the Module Activities programme and the Join in Jamboree material, you will find tips and tricks on how to build your own Jamboree. For example what an opening and closing ceremony could be like.
Unique for this Jamboree is that the Join in Jamboree material is available in five languages: English, French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic. With the support from the regional offices of the World Scout Bureau it is hoped that the activities can be spread and shared worldwide.
“We would love to hear what Scouts around the world are doing with the programme,” says Kaspra who has been developing the concept.
If you are organising a camp in your country, make a video of your closing ceremony or other activity and share it on Facebook.
