The Scouts of Sweden prepare young people for life through adventure, a sense of community, international meetings and value-based leadership. The Jamboree will showcase Scouting at its best in Sweden and around the world.
All our activities are carried out in small groups, patrols, where the scouts develop their social skills. As a scout in a patrol, you learn to cooperate and you get to practice leadership skills. You learn to respect yourself and others, and to dare to fail and try again. We call it learning by doing.
The nature is our living room which offers amazing environments. It creates adventures and challenges which puts cooperation in the patrol to the test. Camping and hiking are parts of the programme as well as community involvement.
As an adult in scouting you can have many roles. You can be a scout leader, treasurer, chairman in a local scout group and many more things. The Scouts of Sweden gives you the possibility to practice leadership, learn more about young people, to improve your project management skills, and to be part of a larger community of scouts from all around the world.
There are more than 1000 scout groups all around Sweden. Most groups run their programme at weekday evenings with hikes and camps a couple of times every semester.
