“Jamboree flooded after never ending rain,” says one of the IST members promoting the Earth module with a sandwich board. His promotional material for the module explained that it deals with the subjects of Soil, Oxygen, Water and Wind.
Activities wise, flooding was simulated in big half pipes for Scouts who built landscapes comprising of cities, factories and animals. With three buckets of water running through the river bed, animals were swept away and landscapes polluted by blue poisonous liquid running out of destroyed factories! After building a windmill, Quentin Clavel from France realizes that sometimes he could do more to save energy.
There’s no doubt that Scouts understand how much important it is to protect our earth and not to waste its resources, but could you know and do more? Find out by visiting the Earth Module before the Jamboree finishes.
