The World Scout Centre is open to Jamboree participants (14-18 year olds), adult leaders, day visitors and special guests. The Centre offers various exhibits with inspirational messages and short activities to discover and experience the impact of, and reason for, the work undertaken by World Scouting. It is located on the ‘Time Avenue’ in a large tent with four wings in the ‘Common Areas’, surrounded by the contingents tents (close to the Boy Scouts of America tent). It is easy to locate as the Centre is marked by five WOSM flags and ten beach style flags (five on each side of the tent).
The opening hours are 10:00 to 18:00 hrs.
Visit the WSC for more information on the future world events namely 14th World Scout Moot, Canada (2013), 12th World Scout Youth Forum and 40th World Scout Conference, Slovenia (2014) and 23rd World Scout Jamboree, Japan (2015).
Come and meet the World Scout Committee members and the World Youth Advisors and sign up for the Messengers of Peace project – young people and adults alike. Those signing up for the project could win attractive prizes including iPads from Apple. Every visitor has the opportunity to obtain World Scouting souvenirs and gifts.
